Up to you! Overnight trips typically cover 8-10 miles per day, and half-day trips cover around 4 miles.

Choose a start and end point to suit your ability, and don’t worry if you need to cut your journey short.

Where do I start and finish?

You can choose any public launch on the River Soar:

Pillings Lock Marina, Quorn
Broadway’s Meadow, Barrow Upon Soar
Mill Lane, Barrow Upon Soar
Sileby Road, Mountsorrel
Cossington Lane, Rothley

Where do we camp?

You’ll stay at Broome Island campsite, a unique island only accessible by boat, situated on the River Soar between Mountsorrel and Barrow Upon Soar. The site has ample camping space, toilet and hot shower, USB charging, a campfire circle, a double-width brick BBQ and picnic table.

Camping and cooking equipment is available to hire as part of your adventure package.

Where do we glamp?

Our campsite has its very own Riverside Cabin, with a comfy double bed, lighting, USB charging and a mini-fridge for your essentials.

Ask us for added luxury – a chilled bottle of bubbles or your favourite snacks for your arrival.

Can we stop on the way?

There are several pub-resturants and picnic spots along the River Soar which we can incorporate into your adventure.
